Last week I was reminded of a band that I used to love, but as time has gone on I just stopped listening to them. This may seem a bit rambling, but I swear that there is a point.
There was a time where my mom and I actually traveled around the state going to Big and Rich concerts. It was so much fun and such a great experience we were able to share. They came out with a song in 2012 called That's Why I Pray. I have recently rediscovered it and it is just shouting at me during this completely insane time. Man on the TV's gone insane, everybody's just laughing People 'cross the world holding on The earth caved in, the ocean came down crashing My neighbor lost his house 'cause he can't find a job Don't you dare pledge allegiance, don't you dare speak of God Now I'm begging for forgiveness I wanna make a difference even in the smallest way I'm only one person, but I can feel it working I believe in better days That's why I pray I know that a lot of my followers are people of faith. If you believe in God or some sort of higher power now is the time to fall to your knees and petition for our country and our values. We are fighting for our country, our way of life, everything we hold dear. We can not allow it to be stolen from us. They aren't even trying to hide their fraudulent behavior. We need to band together and pray.
