Yesterday I was driving my kids over to visit their grandparents. A song by Lauren Daigle came on as we were going through a fairly affluent area. I was listening to the lyrics while driving past dozens of black lives matters signs. The contrast between the song and the signs really struck me. Black lives matters is trying to find their worth by blaming other people, tearing down society and using violence. Lauren was singing about how when she feels like she is not enough God tells her she is. He protects her and the only thing that matters is what God thinks of her. I was really struck by the difference in the two view points. I know I keep saying it, but our country is hurting. What is happening isn't just a people problem. It's a GOD problem. If you want to hear the song you can find it here. Anne and I have another Politically Incorrect Knitters podcast out today. Please check it out!

I listened to the President of the Southern Baptist Conference, who happens to be my sons Pastor, talk about this issue. He rephrased it by saying “Black Life Matters”. It matters to God. So it should matter to us. Because God loves each and every one of us. So we should love one another as He loves us. It brought tears to my heart that we are so divided, but we could be so close and loving, if only we just changed that one word!
